Colony Survival
The First Person Voxel RTS
Over a Decade of Active Development by a
Two-Man Team
Colony Survival is a complex colony simulator in an enormous voxel world. Build your own network of towns, castles and fortresses. Recruit thousands of colonists to gather resources, craft products and fight against the horde of monsters that attacks your colonies every night. Explore a deep tech tree that spans from the Stone Age to the Industrial Revolution. Play co-op with friends, download mods and influence the continued development of Colony Survival.
Endless Gameplay
Colony Survival is made to be enjoyed for hundreds of hours. There are endless jobs, weapons, technologies and decorative items available to be unlocked. Explore different biomes. Travel with trains or aircraft. Experiment with traps and explosives. Lure monsters away from your heartland with custom built castles, or sacrifice to the Gods and ask for divine favour to obliterate your enemies in a crisis. Build huge cities filled with colonists, decorated in your own personal style. Construct unique temples and monuments.
Explore multiplayer with friends or strangers. Play on Steam Deck or with a controller. Share your entire world or blueprints for specific buildings publicly, and use the ones that others have made. Install mods via Steam Workshop. Enable cheats and play around with flight mode, infinite items, slow-motion and more.
Colony Survival started as a hobby and an experiment back in 2012. Our company, Pipliz, was established in 2014 and the public release happened in 2017. Since then, we’ve been dedicated full-time to extending and improving the game.
Due to its non-linear, non-scripted, open sandbox character, the project has limitless potential. There are countless features we could add. Instead of dividing these up between yearly sequels, our aim is to build a unique, enormous first-person colony simulator that offers a combination of options, content, optimization and polish that is unrivaled.
This is why we’ve chosen to remain in Early Access. Not because the game is filled with bugs or lacks content, but because it’s still actively growing.
Long Term Active Development
Shape the Future of Colony Survival
Since the release in 2017, we’ve been publishing regular Friday Blogs. Here we explain what we’re working on and why. They also contain invitations for beta testing, questionnaires and competitions. We’ve published nearly three hundred of these blogs now!
We read and appreciate the comments that players leave on these blogs. But one of the best ways to get in touch with the developers and the rest of the community is to join the Discord. There, you can leave bug reports, share suggestions for new features, find blueprints, talk to mod developers or find people to share a multiplayer server with.
We keep a close eye on this community, and it helps us understand what is working well and what is not. Which things are frustrating players, and what features are they excited for? This knowledge helps us make choices for future updates. Community feedback has played a large role in giving shape to Colony Survival.
